Gadag is facing Acute Water
shortage.Municipality water supply
which comes from
the Tungabhadra River has
stopped since a Month.Even getting
a Water Tanker is
not possible,the Water Tankers
are all been used by the Municipality,
to supply Water
to the severely hit locations.
Illegal abutments constructed across the Tungabhadra
river is supposed to be the cause
according to some reports.Steps are being taken to
clear any such illegal constructions.
The summer heat soaring this makes it even more
unbearable with less water.Drinking
water supplied in large 20 Liter plastic containers
are being sold at a rapid rate.One
just hopes the ground Water levels aren't affected.
