Steel Plant News:

with the Farmers.

the sum given to the Farmers.But
there are fears that the compensation
money eventually given to the farmers
may be less than the amount initially
assured.
;Enviromental concerns are being
expressed with the impact on
Kappatgudda which is rich in Medicinal
plants and has historical and religious
significance.

A Steel Plant might be setup in Mundaragi Taluk,
which comes under Gadag District.More than
5000 Acres is going to be aquired.This has
created tension and uncertainity amongst
the Farmers whose land might be aquired.
POSCO,Pohang Steel Company is a South
Korean Company,which is set to do this
Mega Project with an investment of
Rs/-32,000 Crore.
