Swami Ramdev will be visiting
Gadag on the 22nd of April
2011.The Yoga session will
be held from 5AM to 7AM,
22nd April 2011.The Venue
will be the VDSTC School
Ground.This is part of the
Guru Jee's North Karanataka
tour.

Holi was celebrated in Gadag today.
The Burning of the effigy of Kamaanna,
Kama Deva,the God of Love, was done
everywhere,the burnt embers lying on the road.
Colour soaked people thronged the roads.

Gadag is facing Acute Water
shortage.Municipality water supply
which comes from
the Tungabhadra River has
stopped since a Month.Even getting
a Water Tanker is
not possible,the Water Tankers
are all been used by the Municipality,
to supply Water
to the severely hit locations.
Illegal abutments constructed across the Tungabhadra
river is supposed to be the cause
according to some reports.Steps are being taken to
clear any such illegal constructions.
The summer heat soaring this makes it even more
unbearable with less water.Drinking
water supplied in large 20 Liter plastic containers
are being sold at a rapid rate.One
just hopes the ground Water levels aren't affected.

Hatalageri Village (Pin Code 582115) which is situated approximately
5 Kilometres from Gadag,had a shocking incident of an Animal Attack.
A Wolf attacked several Villagers sleeping out of there Homes and in the
Fields.The incident occurred in the early Hours of Wednesday the 16th
of March 2011.Enraged Villagers are supposed to have killed the
Wolf .The Hot Summer Months compels people to sleep out of there
Homes. |
