Gadag comes to stand still.People poured into Gadag numbering in Lakhs.
All coming to see the ' Walking God ' for one Last time.Every Major Road in Gadag was
Blocked, all Shops,Movie Halls, Educational establishments closed ,Everyone in Mourning.
The procession began from the Stadium and went around Gadag and Betageri, passing through
Bhoomreddy Circle and than Tanga Koot , Gandhi Circle and headed towards Betageri.
The Funeral was at 5 PM Today 18th September 2010.

Saint,Holy Man are the words one hears when speaking of HIS Holiness Sri Sri Puttaraja Gavai.
News of His Health deteriorating has led to thousands of Devotees flooding to the Veereshwara Punyashrama, Gadag.
Orulu Sewe (religious act of rolling on the ground) and Yajna (Holy Rituals) are being performed
at the Ashram.
Latest News is that the Health of His Holiness is improving and that he is responding to Medical treatment.
